Energy

Research area "Energy"

In coming few years ENERGY is to become Number 1 problem of humanity due to the progressive  diminution of oil availability worldwide as well as the global warming consequences.
Consequently we have decided to focus a part of our research on this sector given:

    • our internationally recognized comptences in the domain of electrochemical storage of energy (lithium and alcaline batteries, microbatteries);
    • our contribution to the emerging topics at the ICMCB in the last few years relating to hydrogen storage and to the new transparent conducting materials for photo cells and electrochroms;

the recent startup of new topics:

– hydrogen production by water electrolysis as well as from biomass
– new thermoelectric materials
