Pr. Paul Hagenmuller

Paul Hagenmuller passed away on January 7, 2017, he was 95 years old.
Honorary Professor at Bordeaux University, founder and director of the Solid State Chemistry Laboratory of CNRS up to 1985, he is universally recognized as one of the founders of Solid State Chemistry at the interface between Chemistry, Physics and Material Science; he has, his whole life, worked for the merging of these three fields of research and with industry, the best example being thermo structural composites (University-CNRS-CEA-SAFRAN then HERACLES).
